Hounslow council has a range of support for those struggling with the rising costs. There is currently lots of support available including help with managing your finances.
The borough also has an online digital hub which provides information and support guides on how to access key services.
Hounslow Council wants to assure the residents of the borough that we will work jointly with the local Job Centre, Citizens Advice Bureau and the DWP in these unprecedented times to support our residents.
Currently the Council already provides emergency support for individuals experiencing hardship and we will continue to do whatever we can to assist our residents where they experience additional hardship.
Family Hubs are a friendly and safe environment for babies, children, young people, parents and carers to access support and services they need to build thriving lives. They provide a single point of contact for families with children aged 0-19, or up to 25 years old if they have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Family Hubs will also deliver a range of joined-up services, focusing particularly on parenting support, infant feeding support, early language support and perinatal mental health support.
A wide range of community and faith organisations across Hounslow provide support to residents facing food insecurity. This includes offers of emergency food parcels (often requiring a referral), community supermarkets and panties, community cafes and lunch clubs and cooked meals (paid for and free).
To find the most up to date information on food support available please visit the Hounslow Connect website.
Free school meals – If you receive certain benefits, your children could also be entitled to free school meals.
