Providing AngelBoxes and vital support to families across Greater London during a year of growing child poverty
In a year marked by challenges and uncertainty, Basch Helps CIC stood as a beacon of hope. Through unwavering commitment and community support, we transformed lives and strengthened resilience across London and beyond.
The Reality We Face
In 2025, a staggering one in three London children lives in poverty—rising to nearly 50% in some inner-city boroughs. More than 2.3 million Londoners, including countless babies and toddlers, struggle with the basics amidst the capital’s soaring housing costs. These numbers are not just statistics—they represent real families fighting to survive.
Our Impact in 2025
Despite these challenges, Basch Helps CIC delivered critical emergency relief to thousands of vulnerable families across Greater London:
- 2,091 newborn babies and toddlers supported with our bespoke AngelBox, our flagship emergency relief package containing a month’s supply of nappies and 65 other critical baby essentials.
- 300+ parents empowered through additional support projects and signposting to vital services.
Total Essentials Distributed in 2025:
- 320,000 nappies
- 864,000 wet wipes (packs of 72)
- 32,000 items of baby clothing
- 2,300 blankets & shawls
- 10,000 cotton bibs
- 450 coats
- 2,400 milk formula tins
- 810 manual breast pumps
- 4,000 baby bottles
- 2,000 baby soother packs
- 17,400 food jars for 6m+ babies
- 870 sippy cups
- 870 bowls & cutlery sets
- 1,740 baby snack packs
- 2,000 hooded towels
- 2,000 baby sponges
- 6,000 toiletries
- 300 sensory toys
- 257 baby walkers
- 439 travel cots
- 180 baby bouncers
- 75 baby carriers
- 103 toddler walking aids
Behind every number is a story—a mother who faced the unbearable choice between feeding herself or buying nappies. A newborn who would have gone without warmth and basic care if not for an AngelBox. For these families, our support was not just a package—it was the difference between despair and dignity, between vulnerability and survival.
Quote from Leadership
“This year, we witnessed the power of compassion and collaboration. Every act of kindness, every volunteer hour, every donation has helped us rewrite stories of struggle into stories of hope.” – Moosa Berj, Founder
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Volunteers
To our extraordinary volunteers: you are the unsung heroes of 2025. You braved relentless, sweaty summer days under scorching heat and, more recently, cold, storm-lashed nights that tested every ounce of endurance—all to ensure that no baby was left without the essentials they desperately needed. You carried hope through rain-soaked streets and delivered dignity door-to-door when the world felt heavy. Your courage and compassion turned hardship into humanity. Without you, thousands of newborns would have faced hunger, discomfort, and danger. With you, they found safety, warmth, and care.
Immense Gratitude to Our Funders and Supporters
To our funders, donors, and supporters: thank you for standing with us when it mattered most. Your generosity powered every AngelBox, every blanket, every bottle delivered to a family in crisis. In a year of economic uncertainty and rising need, your commitment ensured that thousands of babies were protected from malnutrition, poor hygiene, and unsafe conditions. You are the foundation of this mission—and together, we are rewriting futures.
Looking Ahead
As we step into a new year, we do so with gratitude and determination. Despite lower funding and the challenges we face, Basch Helps CIC will continue to stand by London’s newborns and toddlers—working tirelessly to alleviate concerns of malnutrition, hygiene, and safety. Together, we can ensure that every baby has the start in life they deserve.
From all of us at Basch Helps CIC, we wish you a Merry New Year filled with hope, compassion, and community.
