Since May 2024 our volunteer teams have been working hard to inform and remind parents about the vaccinations available from the NHS with a particular focus on the MMR vaccination especially for their babies, toddlers and children.
There’s now an opportunity for families who we serve either via AngelBox or our parent support channels that are living in either Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington & Chelsea or Westminster to get support from the local roving team with vaccinations and general health support.

Measles is still circulating around London
Measles is an infection that spreads very easily and can cause serious problems in some people. Having the MMR vaccine is the best way to prevent it. Further information on measles, including symptoms and potential complications, can be found here – Measles – NHS (www.nhs.uk)
The MMR vaccine can prevent measles. Two doses of the MMR vaccine is routinely offered (the first at 1 year old and the second at 3 years and 4 months old) to all children in the UK and can give lifelong protection against measles, mumps, and rubella. We are calling on all parents and guardians to make sure their children are up to date with two doses of the MMR vaccine. To check or are unsure if your children are up to date, consult their Personal Child Health Record (PCHR), known as the red book, or contact their GP practice. If you or your children have missed either dose you should catch-up as soon as possible to make sure you are protected.
MMR vaccination appointments can be booked through your GP Practice (all ages).
What is the Roving Team about:
They are Registered Health Care Professionals (RHCP) that have teamed up together to provide highly valuable clinical advice and expertise on areas such as vaccination, health checks as well as to support residents in the eight boroughs who have complex needs.
They also support the hospital trusts and local GP’s by providing additional services to vulnerable patients and also support hospital trusts by undertaking health surveys to better understand patient needs.
Additionally when you meet a member of the Roving team rest assured as they are experts in supporting members of the public who are anxious around healthcare professionals or have a fear of needles or other anxieties around medical or private personal issues. They really are good at listening to your needs and are the best at helping you navigate the NHS and help you get in touch with the right medical professionals for a better and more stress free health outcome.
What is the North West London ICB
They work with people who live and work in North West London to plan and improve health and care services. They have an annual budget of £6 billion and serve a diverse population of 2.1m residents. They are here to help local people live healthier lives, improve the quality of healthcare, reduce inequalities and make sure the NHS makes best use of resources.
They are here to provide oversight of the healthcare system so that they:
- Help our residents and communities live healthier lives
- Ensure access to more consistently high quality healthcare services across North West London
- Tackle inequalities in how people access and experience healthcare and the outcomes they get from our services
- Work with local people, employers and partner organisations to strengthen our communities and make best use of our resources.
They work with local residents, local NHS bodies, local councils, the voluntary and community sector and Healthwatch to develop the health and care strategy for our area.

They work as part of the North West London Integrated Care System (ICS) with local authorities and the organisations that provide NHS care, such as hospitals and GPs, which we have oversight of.
The ICS includes eight London boroughs – Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster – all of these local authority members are part of our Integrated Care Partnership (ICP). It also includes seven NHS Trusts, who provide healthcare to our residents:
