Basch Helps CIC, has released new impact findings showing that AngelBox is delivering benefits far beyond baby essentials, helping families reduce financial pressure and meet critical household needs.
The latest feedback from parents receiving AngelBox support found that:
- 66% of parents reported saving up to £250 on the cost of essential baby items and equipment. Of those families, many stated that the savings were redirected towards purchasing food and groceries for their household.
- 24% used the financial relief to pay off debts, with many highlighting concerns over council tax arrears and the risk of enforcement action.
- 10% used the savings to support social and wellbeing activities, helping families participate in everyday life and reduce isolation.
A Hounslow parent who recently received an AngelBox shared:
“It made a real impact on me and my family. It meant that instead of worrying about how we were going to afford all the things our baby needed, we were able to use that money on a proper food shop. It made the difference between making do and actually having enough food for the family.”
For many families, pregnancy and the arrival of a new baby can create significant financial pressure. Essential equipment such as cots, clothing, feeding items, travel systems and other baby necessities can quickly become unaffordable, particularly for families already experiencing hardship.
Through AngelBox, Basch Helps CIC provides tailored packages of essential baby items to families across London, helping ensure that babies have a safe and supported start in life while reducing the financial burden on parents.
A Westminster Referrer recently commented:
“My client who has received a box said that it made a real impact on her and her family and made the difference of them being to be able to afford a proper food shop rather than just making do in terms of mealtimes.”
Natalie from Basch Helps CIC said:
“When people think about baby support, they often focus on the items being provided. What we’re seeing from our feedback is that the impact extends far beyond that. Every item we can provide is money that a family does not have to find elsewhere. For some, that means putting food on the table. For others, it means avoiding debt enforcement or being able to participate in everyday social activities. AngelBox is helping families create breathing space at one of the most challenging and important moments of their lives.”
Since launching in 2020, AngelBox has supported more than 11,000 babies and toddlers across London, providing practical assistance to families facing financial hardship during pregnancy and early parenthood.
As demand continues to rise, Basch Helps CIC is calling on supporters, donors, businesses and community partners to help ensure that no baby starts life without the essentials they need.
