Some of our volunteers families have been deeply affected by the recent destruction caused by one of the worst natural disasters in modern history for what was meant to be a time of holiday or revisiting family.

Luckily for our readers, he documented the entire trip and we’re all glad their back safe and sound. He asked us for permission to share his story in the hope that we raise awareness of the true scale of the destruction witnessed by millions of people who are now effectively homeless and have become vulnerable to extreme conditions, forever traumatised by scenes of death and loss.
As mother’s day approaches it’s a good time to ring the parents or go over, give them a big fat juicy hug, kiss and count your blessing their still alive. We all certainly will.
