At Basch Helps, we understand that preparing for a new baby can bring both excitement and uncertainty. For many families, this stage can also come with real pressures — whether that’s financial challenges, changes in circumstances, or simply not knowing where to turn for support.

We want to make one thing very clear:

👉 You don’t have to wait until things feel overwhelming to ask for help

Our services are built around early support and understanding, not judgement. Many of the families we support are doing their best but need a little extra help to prepare for their baby or feel more stable during pregnancy and early parenthood.

👉 Applying is not about crisis — it’s about making sure you and your baby have what you need from the very beginning

💛 Who Can Apply

You may be eligible if you:

  • 🤰 Are pregnant or have a baby (up to 12 months)
  • 💷 Are experiencing financial pressure or uncertainty
  • 🏡 Are facing challenges with housing, income, or stability
  • 🤍 Feel you need support preparing for your baby
  • 📍 Live within our service areas (primarily Greater London)

👉 You do not need to be in crisis — we support through early intervention

📋 Ways You May Qualify

You may be eligible if you are:

  • On a low income
  • Receiving benefits
  • A single parent
  • Recently experienced a change in circumstances
  • Living in temporary accommodation
  • Struggling to afford baby essentials

👉 You only need one or more of these situations to apply.

📦 What Eligibility Means

If eligible, you may receive:

  • 🎁 AngelBox (essential baby items)
  • 🧷 1 month supply of nappies
  • 👶 Up to 65 essential items
  • 🛏 Up to 2 equipment items (based on need)

👉 Plus access to additional support services

⚠️ Important Eligibility Information

A small number of situations where we may not be able to provide support

At Basch Helps, we aim to support as many families as possible. However, due to funding requirements and service criteria, there are some situations where we are currently unable to offer support through AngelBox.

❌ You may not be eligible to apply if:

  • You or your partner are on a Student Visa
  • You or your partner are on a Spouse or Partner Visa
  • You or your partner are a Company Director (including self‑employed directors registered in this way)
  • Your household annual income exceeds £10,500

👉 This applies to:

  • The person applying
  • Their partner
  • The overall household situation

⚖️ Why These Restrictions Apply

These criteria are in place to ensure that:

  • Support is directed to families most aligned with our funding requirements
  • We are able to allocate support fairly and consistently
  • Limited resources reach those in the greatest financial need
