Evictions & Support for permanent housing:
The UK government and local authorities have tried their level best to accommodate delays to evictions of tenants in privately rented housing. If you have received an eviction notice it is advisable to attend the assigned county court hearing or to contact the Citizens Advice Bureau on 0800 240 4420. It is also important to visit your local council with the eviction notice and all your evidence and they may support you in finding shelter.
For our clients who have received an AngelBox and currently reside in temporary accommodation by your local authority. Their currently is a mass shortage of council & affordable housing across London and coronavirus has hampered the progress of many property developments which had aimed to house many Londoner’s, we know this delay has caused many of you physical and mental anguish and we know your scared for your baby, but unfortunately Basch Helps CIC doesn’t have the power to communicate with housing officers on your behalf.
In this instance, please call your local housing team whom have the authority to listen and answer any concerns in relation to shelter and permanent housing.
The team @ Basch Helps CIC wish we had these super powers to further support you but where not there yet.
