Bills, Bills Bills! Rent, Electricity, Gas, Telephone, Petrol, Train fares, Food shopping, Baby shopping, benefits being sanctioned, No access to public funds. Everyone is suffering on a personal level including us, your not alone and where all increasingly sharing the same concerns and we know it’s adding pressure and causing anxiety.
Lately we’ve seen a 44% increase in direct applications from families with newborns that just simply can’t cope with price shock after price shock, month after month and a 27% increase in local authority or healthcare related referrals.
We sadly don’t see an end to this looming financial crises but where trying to beat the curve with new innovative ways to keep you connected to us no matter your personal circumstance.
Secretly we’ve been investing in some upgrades and service enhancements which will further speed up emergency relief distribution and keep us a little more connected, here’s how:
- A new freephone 0800 dedicated number accessible from payphones when your phone no longer works or if you need to talk to someone in confidence about getting the right help & support.
- New website features & application forms.
- We listened to parents across the board and agreed that our food jar range for babies over 6 months old needed an overhaul to offer a more diverse range, so we trialled the new Tilda range, Cerelac, Aisha and more, so far the results have been promising so fingers crossed if all goes well they will become a more permanent feature from August 2022.
