In July 2022, when we received that grant acceptance email from the Postcode Society Trust it was a real-game changer and I personally thank the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, the grant panel and our grant manager for accepting our grant proposal and entrusting us with our largest grant to date.
At a time when our community enterprise had introduced a much needed befriending service for single parents & mothers who are deliberately socially isolating themselves because of their circumstances and a freephone parent support telephone service accessible 24/7 available to all parents who need urgent parent or baby support such complimentary additions for parents of all ages on top of the emergency relief packages their newborn’s receive make us one of the few organisations that offers a full support cycle and thus far has been well perceived by both referral partners and the parents.
The grant supported 162 severely underprivileged newborn’s with their very own completely tailored AngelBox, hand delivered with the love and passion that every child entering this world truly deserves and supported an additional 59 parents with our complimentary parent support services of which 24 needed signposting for an undiagnosed mental health illness.
A truly extraordinary achievement in our efforts to combat baby poverty at the root of the problem in preventing ill-health and malnutrition in the medium term, alleviating the concerns of parents and referrers alike with our very proficient but unorthodox approach to baby emergency relief.
Lastly Basch Helpsc CIC would like to take this opportunity to again express our warmest gratitude to the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery and the Postcode Society Trust who have made all this possible.
