Where very pleased to announce that we have been awarded a £1000 grant from the Arnold Clark Community Fund. It is truly a great honour to be recognised by such a large enterprise.
This vital funding has come at a time where we are seeing unprecedented demand for our community services and will enable us to continue providing early intervention & emergency relief services to the Greater London community, remaining resilient in the face of further challenges associated with the coming winter months and the coronavirus pandemic to parents and newborns throughout Christmas & the new year.
Who is the Arnold Clark?
Arnold Clark Automobiles Ltd is one of the largest car dealer groups in Europe. Sir Arnold Clark, the founder of the company, left the Royal Air Force and used his demob money to buy a Morris Ten Four for £70. After restoring the car to its original condition, he sold it for a profit.
Today, Arnold Clark Automobiles Ltd sells more than 300,000 cars a year and has locations stretching from Elgin to Southampton.
What is the Arnold Clark Community Fund?
In March 2020, Arnold Clark launched their first ever Community Fund in order to provide financial help to community groups and charities that had been significantly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
To date they have provided over 9500 organisations with vital funding, the winter edition of their community fund focuses on the following categories:
- Poverty relief
- Food Banks
- Toy Banks
- Housing & Accommodation
