London is opening up once again, life is back to normal but a variety of diseases such as polio, measles even our arch enemy the coronavirus still has a devious hold on our communities spreading, mutating and causing serious ill-health.
Cases across London continue to rise and preventing the spread of disease, protecting your family and friends has never been more important. Moreover in the past year, through many partnership campaigns with the NHS NWL ICB, we learned that the vast majority of young parents, asylum seekers and those who struggle the most to integrate with society have found it difficult to understand or find the right information about all the wonderful NHS services available.
Therefore we decided to refresh our health & wellbeing hub to keep it relevant and more accessible than ever before with sections covering everything from MMR vaccinations to how to access the NHS cancer screening services if you have concerns about your health or need urgent care.
The new hub has been split into well planned sections which give detailed guidance and in some cases a breakdown of what to expect at every stage of the NHS service you intend to use.
We’ve also retrained our volunteers to better understand the local health services available to parents in the boroughs they deliver our community services, therefore if something catches your eye! Don’t be afraid to send us a confidential message on WhatsApp or ask a volunteer in-person if you need further information, assistance or signposting.
We’ve also introduced new sections such as MMR, Start for Life, Healthy Start and more services relevant to parenthood and baby care.
Lastly our community board will be more regularly updated with all the future community events and health bulletins as they come in.
