Sorry for the radio silence, but it’s been quite manic as some of you know and quite frankly we’d rather get on with delivering emergency relief to newborns and supporting vulnerable parents across London.
Demand for our AngelBox service continues to rise both in terms of referrals and from direct applications hitting a new peak of 100 deliveries within the week of the Platinum Jubilee extended weekend. A lot of us volunteered that weekend because we couldn’t consciously leave any babies hungry or without the essentials they need such as their cots.
It was also a good time to catch up with previous applicants and the growing healthy newborns we supported with an AngelBox, provided much needed topups of baby essentials and generally just engaged in convo and made babies laugh and one of our volunteers even got his face painted with porridge.
Shout out for the Moroccan tea with fresh mint, surreal.
Your feedback, your babies and your hospitable treatment of our volunteers is what makes this all worth it.
The days are getting longer so our delivery hours in certain boroughs will be extended to 21:30:
We know some of you wonderful parents see us at this time already, but Basch Helps CIC is making it official. That’s right, 9:30 PM will be our last delivery across the summer which will be reserved for emergency cases and late baby top-up requests. This will ensure all our beneficiaries get their critical baby essentials faster with the sole purpose of fulfilling our duty of ensuring their safe and sound.
Our switchboard will close on Sunday but deliveries will continue:
Due to a recent surge in demand for our AngelBox community service, we’ve had to divert or reconfigure all our available resources to the warehouse and to fulfil deliveries.
Therefore we’ve taken the unprecedented decision to temporarily shut our office lines on Sundays.
However don’t be disheartened, for us it just means more AngelBoxes will be delivered 7 days a week to the beautiful amazing babies we serve and support.
